Kid's Meadow Study at Lower Perkiomen Valley Park

Meadow studies are educational and fun! Children will be able to explore the small meadow at the park, while searching for plants, insects and signs of animal life. Together we will determine whether or not we think our meadow is healthy, based on the life that we find. Your child will experience thinking and working like a real scientist! By the end of the program, they will have learned how to look at our local meadows with a new appreciation for the small biodiverse ecosystems they are. Pre-registration required by June 19th; participants should meet at the Park and Ride parking lot; weather permitting. Ages 6-12; . Participants should dress for the weather—sunscreen, hats, etc. Parents are encouraged to bring insect repellent. Proper shoes are required and long pants as we will be walking through tall grasses.
