The Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office is leading an effort to educate and assist people with nonviolent marijuana-related convictions in Montgomery County. Through a fast-track review process offered by the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, people who have suffered job insecurity as a result of the pandemic can get expedited assistance to improve their quality of life. This event will educate the public about this program and provide guidance on how to successfully apply for a pardon.
In addition to the Montgomery County Public Defender and its partners, there will be dozens of other organizations and vendors from the community coming together for this event. The Public Defender would like to thank the Greater Norristown Branch of the NAACP, CDM Law, and Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania for their partnership.
This event will be held outdoors and will comply with all COVID-19 protocols including social distancing, mandatory masking, and hand sanitizing stations. For more information, please contact Alana Hook at (610) 278-3328.
