County Comprehensive Plan - An Update on Montco2040...

Posted on December 31, 2013 at 9:30 AM by Anne Leavitt-Gruberger

Our work around Montco 2040: A Shared Vision is off to a great start!  The Montgomery County Planning Commission has been working hard to get countywide input into this plan.  To date:

  • We’ve held four public outreach meetings across the county in Pottstown, Colmar, Fort Washington and King of Prussia.  With a total of about 150 participants, we heard from you on topics ranging from strengthening our job opportunities to reducing flooding hazards.
  • Were you unable to make one of our outreach meetings?  We’ll come to you!  Fill out this form to request a presentation in your community, to your organization, or at your workplace.
  • We have an ongoing survey for residents and non-residents alike to let us know what our priorities should be moving forward.  If you haven’t filled out the survey yet, there’s still time to give us your feedback.  Click here to fill out our survey online.
  • Our comprehensive plan steering committee continues to give us valuable insight into how we should be proceeding with this plan.

As for 2014…we’ll be working on formulating the themes and goals for this plan, and looking back to you to make sure we’re still on the right track.  If we are, we’ll get underway with the policy document that’s the accompaniment to Montgomery County Today.
