Make sure all products and materials are in original containers with labels intact. This will ensure that your materials are correctly identified and disposed of properly as quickly and safely as possible.
Wrap leaking containers in newspaper and place in a plastic bag or garbage container.
Make sure lids and caps are secured properly and tightly.
Place items securely in a box for transport. Use newspaper or cardboard as filler.
Place chemicals, which will react with one another, in separate parts of the vehicle.
What Not to Do
Do not leave materials in hot, unventilated areas for long periods of time.
Do not smoke near chemicals.
Do not get out of your car while in line at an event for any reason, especially in the drop off area or "hot zone".
Do not park your car or walk from your house with household hazardous materials.
