Centenarian FAQs

How are invitations sent? Invitations are sent from the Montgomery County Office of Senior Services by the end of February.  If you do not receive an invitation and know of someone who should have been included, call Courtney Thurston-610-278-5927. 

How do I get to Presidential Caterers? Presidential Caterers is located at 2910 DeKalb Pike in East Norriton. Click here for Google map.

What are the meal selections?

  • Fish (Pan-seared Atlantic Salmon)
  • Chicken (Chicken Breast Roulade with Risotto)
  • Vegetarian (Fresh Tagliatelle Primavera)

Does the Centenarian have to be 100 years old before the day of the event? No, the Centenarian must be born in 1920 or prior to 1920.

Is there a cost for a Centenarian to attend the event? There is no cost for a Centenarian and ONE (1) guest. A guest can be ONE (1) of the following:

  • Family Member/Friend
  • Spouse
  • Companion
  • Caregiver/Aide
  • Community Representative
  • Driver/Bus Driver

Can a Centenarian have more than one guest and what is the cost for each guest? There is no limit to the number of additional guests per Centenarian. The cost of the lunch is $30 per person for additional family members, companions, or caregivers (see above examples).

Are there assigned tables/seating? Yes. In order to accommodate family/community seating, RSVPs must be received by March 27, 2020.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible? Yes, there are no stairs (however, wheelchairs will NOT be provided as in past years).

Are there accommodations for allergies or special dietary needs (i.e. Kosher, pureed, soft, etc.)? Yes, please indicate your preference on your invitation that you return in the mail.

Are Centenarians who live in Personal Care, Assisted Living, or Nursing Homes invited to attend? Yes, the event is open to all Montgomery County residents regardless of where they live. If your loved one did not receive an invitation at their community, please contact Courtney or Denise.

What information is needed from the Centenarian for them to be included in the Keepsake Booklet and the poster?

EMAIL the following to Courtney:

  • A high-quality photo (JPG format/300 dpi)
  • A brief 1-3 paragraph biography of Centenarian’s life (Word document – Do not embed in a PDF)
  • And/or MAIL a signed Photo Release (on the invitation) to use Centenarian’s photograph in the Keepsake Booklet and to share their story at the luncheon

All items must be submitted by March 27, 2020 to be included in the Keepsake Booklet and the poster.

How do I become a sponsor or an advertiser? Visit our webpage and complete the form online or print if preferred. Mail copy of form and payment to:

What is the difference between a sponsor and an advertiser? Sponsorship offers greater visibility for the company depending on the level of sponsorship that could include company logo on the webpage and link to their website, logo, and mention on social media, paid admission to the event, full-color ad in Keepsake Book and much more! What is a W-9? A W-9 form is an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax form that is used to confirm a person’s name, Company or Organizations’ address, and taxpayer identification number (TIN).

When is payment due? No later than March 27, 2020. If the corporate headquarters requires a W-9 and is located out of state, please contact us directly by calling 610-292-4541 before the deadline for payment.

What type of file does my artwork need to be? All artwork must be high resolution, 300dpi, in PDF, Adobe Illustrator, or JPG format.
