The following documents listed in the Coroner statute are public record and are available upon payment of a mandatory fee. The Coroner fees were made mandatory pursuant to SB1005 / Act 154 of 2018, and effective December 23, 2018.

If you would like one or more of these records, please submit a written request briefly stating the reason for the record(s) and include your contact information. An invoice for fees will follow, and the items will be sent upon payment. Please submit your request for records via fax or U.S.Mail, or attached to e-mail to:

If you are the legal next of kin, and wish to review the autopsy or other reports, the Office of the Coroner, subject to available staff, will provide someone to review the reports with you to help in your understanding of the investigation and conclusion. You may call to make an appointment to review the records at the Office of the Coroner located at the Human Services Center, 1st Floor, 1430 DeKalb Street, Norristown, PA 19401.

The Coroner's Office does not release reports of other agencies, third parties, the police, or medical or hospital records absent extenuating circumstances.
Lastly, cause and manner of death forms are available without charge and are public record.
