The Commerce Department coordinates economic development and financing programs for the County, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), as well as three independent organizations founded to serve Montgomery County’s business community: the Redevelopment Authority, the Industrial Development Authority, and the Montgomery County Development Corporation (MCDC).
Through these various entities, the Commerce Department can arrange loans for businesses looking to acquire real estate, make capital investments, or enhance existing capital stock.
How Can we Help?
- Our professional staff provides assistance by structuring loan packages that blend a variety of available programs, including State and Federal loan programs, to the individual needs of each business borrower. To date, there are more than 20 programs available to fit the specific needs of businesses.
- We can also assist you with your real estate needs and are often involved in the site selection process, both for relocating businesses and for current county firms seeking to sell or expand their business.
- We work with municipalities to provide special financing packages and tax incentive programs for businesses in improvement districts and other locations where substantial infrastructure improvements will change the fundamental business dynamics of a local community.
