  1. Living History: "Jack of All Trades"

    July 22, 2017, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Pottsgrove Manor

    Tradesmen and specialized artisans formed a large part of the colonial world, a world where nearly everything was handmade or built by a worker highly specialized in his craft. "Smiths" working with iron, tin or other metals, as well as many other craftsman, provided practical and luxury goods to colonial buyers. Come see what's being made! All ages; suggested donation $2 per person.

  1. Saturday Morning Bird Walks

    July 22, 2017, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove

    Join us for a guided bird walk at Mill Grove. We’ll visit the creek, cross the meadows, and hike through the woods on both paved and unpaved trails. Children and beginners are welcome! We have extra binoculars, so don’t worry if you forget yours or don’t have them. Walks begin in the main parking lot. Our Facebook page will be updated by 7:00 am the day of each walk if we need to cancel due to inclement weather. No registration needed. All ages; free.

View birds as they feed along the creek, explore the world of macro invertebrates, and hopefully catch a glimpse of an elusive muskrat! Personal flotation devices (PFDs), canoes, and oars provided. All participants are required to wear a PFD. Registration is required. For groups of 10 or more, private canoe tours can be booked for any time throughout the week. All ages; $15 per person.

    Join us for an adult workshop at Mill Grove. Contribute to science and join a community of naturalists in this workshop designed to take you through the process of using the iNaturalist app! We will take you step-by-step through downloading and using the app on your smart phone or tablet. After the indoor instruction, we will head outdoors to explore the property and practice submitting observations using iNaturalist. Please bring your own smartphone or tablet. Workshops begin in the education classroom of the historic house. Reservations are required. All ages; free
