National Manufacturing Day

Manufacturing Day Logo National Manufacturing Day, held on the first Friday of October, is a national celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. This past year, three hundred forty students visited seventeen manufacturing companies in action during the first Manufacturing Day, sponsored by the Business-Education Partnership of Bucks & Montgomery Counties. These successful field trips were made possible by a grant from the PA Department of Labor & Industry to the Bucks & Montgomery Counties Workforce Development Boards. The Partnership thanks the participating manufacturers and schools.
Teachers and students appreciated how the employees loved talking about their jobs and the sleek, clean operations in the manufacturing industry. More than one student remarked that seeing robotics in action was “very cool.” All students walked away with a solid understanding of the reasons why manufacturing is returning to the United States.
