Services We Provide

Aging Services  (age 60 and above)

The Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services (AAS) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring services for county residents age 60 and older. As the area agency on aging, AAS is part of a state and national network of agencies established to aid older adults by offering a wide range of services. For services to adults ages 18-59 scroll down to "Adult Services".

Information & Assistance (I&A)

This service links consumers with appropriate resources based on their need. Information & Assistance is available by calling 610-278-3601.


Referrals for Home and Community Based Services are now provided to the PA Independent Enrollment Broker/Maximus.  Referrals may be called into the Independent Enrollment broker, 1-877-550-4227 or by visiting the website,  Complete the Printable referral form and send via fax or e-mail.

Level of Care Assessments

Consumers referred to AAS are given an assessment in order to determine whether or not that person is best served in a long-term care facility or in his or her own home with community based services. To request a referral for a Level of Care Assessment, contact our intake department at 610-278-3601.

Community Services & Programs

Montgomery County staff provides the following services to support consumers in meeting their individual needs to remain healthy and safe in their community. An assessment of consumer need may be required before providing service. Adult Protective Services

Calls involving individuals 18-59 years of age who are incapacitated, lack an advocate, are at imminent risk and are possible victims of abuse, neglect, exploitation or abandonment are also handled by the 24-hour Montgomery County Elder Abuse Hotline number. 1-800-734-2020.

*Investigations are conducted by another agency specializing in these cases.
