Saturday, February 25th at 10 am
Cabin Fever Hike on the Orange Trail
Bundle up and join us for a brisk 2 ½ mile hike on the Orange Trail. Along the way, we’ll make a few brief stops to investigate winter’s goings on in the big woods.  Wear warm, sturdy footwear and meet at “Lost Corner” Parking lot (Deep Creek Road at jct. with Snyder Road, Green Lane PA 18054). Pre-registration required.
Ages: 9 & up; free. 

Saturday, March 4th at 11:00 am & 2:00 pm (Rain/snow date: Sunday, March 5th)
Maple Sugar Magic
Bring the whole family and join us for Maple Sugaring at the park.  Park staff will demonstrate tree-tapping, boiling down sap at our evaporator, and share stories of “sugaring off” in the old days. Visitors can taste real maple syrup in a blind taste test. Pure Pennsylvania maple candy, cream and syrup will be available for purchase.  NOTE: there will be two showings, one at 11 am and another at 2:00 pm.  Program meets at Hill Road Day Use Area (2821 Hill Road, Green Lane PA  18054) 
All ages; free.  

Saturday, March 11th at 1:00 pm 
Waterfowl Watch
The spring migration of ducks, geese and swans will be well underway.  Bring binoculars and join us in a search for early migrant waterfowl as we visit 3 birding hotspots in Green Lane Park. You will quickly understand why Green Lane is designated as an “Important Bird Area” in Pennsylvania. Meet at Tennis Court Parking lot (2298 Green Lane Road, Green Lane, PA 18054). Pre-registration required.
Ages: 9 to adult; free.   

Saturday, March 25th at 7:00 pm 
Timber-doodle Time
Come out to the park to witness the evening courtship flight of the American Woodcock in one of the bird’s favorite haunts. Also known by such nicknames as “Bog-sucker” and “Labrador Twister”, this bird’s antics must be seen to be believed.  The ground may be muddy, please wear appropriate footwear and bring a flashlight!  Program meets at flagpole at Walt Road Day Use Area (1051 Walt Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073). Pre-registration required.
