Come out to the park to witness the evening courtship flight of the American Woodcock in one of the bird’s favorite haunts. Also known by such nicknames as “Bog-sucker” and “Labrador Twister”, this bird’s antics must be seen to be believed. The ground may be muddy, please wear appropriate footwear and bring a flashlight! Program meets at flagpole at Walt Road Day Use Area (1051 Walt Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073). Pre-registration required.

Saturday, April 1st at 9:00 am Waggy Tail Walk Join the Region Manager and his 2 beagle boys for a leisurely 1.5 mile walk around Deep Creek Lake to celebrate Spring (no foolin').
The event is free however please bring an item to donate to the Montgomery County SPCA. We'll be collecting canned and dry dog and cat food, towels, cleaning supplies, trash bags, and laundry soap. All dogs are welcome on a leash 6 ft. max. Please be sure your pet has the required vaccinations. Meet at the tennis court parking lot on Green Lane Road.

Saturday, April 8th at 1:00 pm Color Your Easter Eggs- Naturally
Workshop: Looking for a change from food coloring tablets from the grocery store? Join us for a fun adventure as we color eggs using materials from nature! Bring up to a dozen hard-boiled eggs and experiment with unique colors from nature's palette. Program meets in Deep Creek Stone Pavilion.
