Summer Therapeutic Activities Program (STAP)

The Children’s Services STAP is a therapeutic and highly structured summer day treatment service. It is provided as a complement to other mental health services and integrated into the overall mental health treatment of the child. STAP is considered an all-inclusive mental health service during program hours. Each site is provided psychiatric consultation as needed. The purpose of STAP is to provide structured therapeutic activities and mental health services in a therapeutic social setting to encourage building of new skills, enhance positive practice of previously learned skills with the overall goal of generalization to home, school and community settings.
