The wraparound process is a way to improve the lives of children with complex needs and their families. It is not a program or a type of service. It helps to develop individualized plans of care, which are:
Developed by a family-centered team,
Individualized based on the strengths and culture of the child and his/her family,
Needs-driven (rather than services-driven).
The teams serve families with children and youth who are either at risk of being placed outside the home, or currently outside the home and working toward returning home.
