Cylinders

A cylinder can be defined as any tank or pressurized canister that may contain hazardous substances. See list below for disposal methods:
  • Acetylene - Return to business of origin or take to a welding shop. NOT ACCEPTED AT COUNTY COLLECTIONS.
  • C02 - Return to business of origin or take to a welding shop. NOT ACCEPTED AT COUNTY COLLECTIONS.
  • Helium - Drop off empty helium tanks at a Sims Metal Management site.
  • Oxygen - Return to business of origin or take to a medical supply outlet. NOT ACCEPTED AT COUNTY COLLECTIONS.
  • Propane - NOT ACCEPTED AT COUNTY COLLECTIONS. (See Propane Tanks)
  • Mini-propane tanks- accepted at county Household Hazardous Waste collections
