The District Attorney’s Office proudly participates in the Cradle of Liberty Council Exploring Program, serving as an Explorers Post, where local high school juniors and seniors can learn about a career in the criminal justice system and experience what that would be like. This program offers a unique opportunity for select youths to learn about career choices not only within the law enforcement community but the criminal justice system as a whole.
Under the supervision of Montgomery County Detective Bureau, Explorers learn about criminal investigation and legal prosecution by experts in the field. The program provides Explorers with direct and unique access to personnel from the District Attorney’s Office, including Assistant District Attorneys and Detectives, allowing them to personally experience the actual work necessary to operate a large law enforcement agency. Field trips include a visit to the Montgomery County Correctional Center, the County Courthouse, The Youth Study Center, Emergency Operations/911 Center, the Coroner’s Office and Mission Kids.
Congratulations to these 2016 graduates of the Cradle of Liberty Council Exploring Program.
