  • That can be a navigator and an advocate when needed
  • And can help residents get in touch with the human services and resources that are available throughout the County

What does a Navicate do?

A Navicate Does
  • Help find and refer Montgomery County residents to appropriate resources
  • Help Montgomery County residents navigate the often complex human service network
  • Advocate for Montgomery County residents when appropriate
  • Answer simple or complex human service questions

A Navicate Does Not
  • Provide direct financial assistance. Navicates do not have funds to distribute to residents
  • Provide direct services—Community Connections acts as a “front door” to human services
  • Carry a caseload—Navicates are not set up to be caseworkers, but connectors
