How to Access Services

The Montgomery County Office of Developmental Disabilities requires a Psychological Evaluation to determine if an individual is eligible for services.

The evaluation must contain the following information:
    • A intellectual disability diagnosis
  • §A full scale IQ score of 70 or below from a standardized intelligence test
  • §An adaptive assessment which documents significant limitations in at least two areas of adaptive functioning skills
  • §The onset of the intellectual disability occurred prior to the individual’s 22nd birthday
The above evaluations must be completed and signed by a licensed Psychologist, a School Psychologist, or Psychiatrist.

An intake meeting will be scheduled if the individual meets the eligibility requirements.

An individual will be offered a choice of Supports Coordination providers during the intake meeting. An individual may select any qualified and willing Supports Coordination Organization. The organizations providing supports coordination services to individuals in Montgomery County are:
