Montgomery County DUI Program is certified through the Alcohol Highway Safety Program of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide this 12.5 hour class. Instructors are certified through the PA DUI Association under the auspices of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The objectives of the AHSS are to provide students with a basic knowledge and understanding of alcohol and controlled substances and their effects on metabolism and judgment, alcoholism and drug addiction, as well as highway safety, to encourage a positive change in student’s attitude concerning driving under the influence of alcohol, controlled substance or prescription medication. It is all classroom instruction. There is no driving involved.

AHSS is held at the DUI Administration at 100 Ross Road – Suite 110, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
• 5 consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm – 9:00pm
• 2 consecutive Saturdays from 9:00am – 4:00pm
• 2 weekdays from 9:00am – 4:00pm
 
Classes are also held at the County Willow Grove Annex Building, 102 York Rd – Suite 201, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
• 5 consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm – 9:00pm
• 2 consecutive Saturdays from 9:00am – 4:00pm
• 2 weekdays from 9:00am – 4:00pm

Spanish Speaking classes are held on an as needed basis.

AHSS will also be held in Montgomery County Correctional Facility every other month, Saturday and Sunday.

Cost is $200.00 for AHSS and must be paid one week prior to the first scheduled class.

Attendance is mandatory under Pennsylvania law. Failure to attend will be reported to the Court and/or your Probation Officer. You must attend all scheduled classes unless granted an excused absence by the DUI Administration staff in advance.

Failure to attend as scheduled, will result in a $30.00 rescheduling fee. The fee must be paid before any rescheduling can be done.
